Welcome to our comments page! We have had new parents of our babies send us comments about their new family member. We love to hear from everybody on how their baby is doing! We thought we would share some of their comments.
Laci and "Nala" from Kansas:
Hey Keith! I hope everyone is well. We are doing great here. I named her Nala and shes quite the character. She is very playful and loves to explore. She also loves to be outside. She watches all the other birds and loves when they fly by. She talks like crazy when she seems them. She likes any type of fruit and she will eat the occasional carrot or leafy green but veggies aren't her favorite. She says pretty girl and step up although its not the clearest thing in the world. She says step up all day long but says pretty girl when shes sleepy. She kind of whistles it. Sometimes her words are better and much clearer than other times. I'm not sure if this is true for all conures, but when shes sleepy and its time for bed she gets really talkitive. She sounds like a monkey in a rainforest and this is when she says pretty girl, along with all kinds of other noises, and shell repeat me anytime I say it to her. as soon as the lights are out and her cage is covered she stops the chit chat and I don't hear from her til morning. She likes taking baths.
The first time I gave her a bath it was in the bathtub and it was a little warm. She hated it and refused to get in the water. She walked around the dry part of the tub with her wings stretched out like ok pick me up im done! Then I tried a cold bath in the sink and couldn't hardly get her out! She dunks her head clear under and likes to walk under the dripping faucet! I've caught her in her water dish a couple times too..
I couldn't be happier with her and just wanted to say hi and tell you that we're doing great. tell your wife hi from me and I'll keep in touch. Thank you again Keith! She's very special!

Sam and "Pepper" from Utah:
We thought you would like to see Pepper and how he is doing. What a fun little bird! He loves our whole family but he loves Sammy the very best. He is so funny. If sam is home, he only wants to hang with sam. And he knows if sam is around because that's when he squwacks the loudest. During the day when its just me he will sit on my shoulder and play all day. But when Sam hits the door, its all over and its like I am the biggest stranger and scariest person in the world. :) Pretty funny little guy.
Update on Sam and "Pepper":
I wanted to tell you about Pepper's latest tricks...
This weekend we had him with us in salt lake city (he has become a great little car traveler) - anyway, my folks have a pool table and Sam was knockin some balls around... He put pepper down on the table for a minute and pepper started running after the balls and knocking them into the pockets.
I videoed it and as soon as I get it on my computer I will put a link on you tube. Funny little bird!!
He also loves to dance and says "hey baby" and "step up" - he is a joy.
Pepper loves to play pool:

Lisa and "Squawk" from Missouri:
We have enjoyed this little guy so much. Let's see...he was my bedside partner while I was recuperating from sinus surgery early last month, sleeping on my pillow(with his head ON the pillow) during naps; loads of fun to play with, and wants lots of loves.
Loves playing with his bottle caps, shredding newspaper in his cage and liked his sleeping tent, but discovered he much preferred playing with the ribbon it hung from(shredded it!)...so....it's been replaced with a washcloth! He's too funny with it...hiding in it at nap time or sleeping on his back on it, once he gets it all fixed just the way he likes it. When he is laying/sleeping on his back, he has one foot/toe in his mouth like he's sucking his thumb. Too cute!
Can you tell we kinda like this bird? LOL! We are so glad he's a part of our family!!
**Update on Squawk!!**
Squawk is talking. He can say "Hi Squawkie" and has also said "Hi Baby." He'll really turn it on at night...to avoid going to bed, and first thing in the morning, when he wants out. He's something else. Heaven forbid I get busy doing stuff and he's been in the cage longer than he thinks he should be. Talk about yelling!! LOL! He's starting to eat more and more people food....toast is one of his favs. Has to eat that with me in the mornings! It does sound like we have multiple Conures here, however. Peep the Parakeet can mimic Squawk to a tee. At times it is very hard to tell them apart!
Betty and "Cricket" (Pineapple G.C.) from Missouri: Cricket now sleeps with me. He nestles between the pillow and my chest as to feel the cool on one side and the warm on the other. So he is smart and more spoiled than ever. He is fierously possesive. I have to put him up to play with the other birds at shower time because he will not share me with "ANYTHING". He has become my favorite bird of the eight exotic birds and is with me constantly. Karen and "Pina" from Iowa:
I am more than pleased with all you have done for me with my little baby, Pina. As for Pina, she is such a little joy to me. She is spoilt but I figure, so what ?? Pina absolutely adores Jessica, probably because Jessica lets her out first thing in the morning and plays with her. Pina gets along with our Boston Terrier now, well she sort of gets along with her, Pina is the boss and the dogs knows it. Pina has started whistling and she yells out "Jessie" when it gets noisy in the house. In the afternoons Pina sits on a playground in the bay window and watches the neighbors and passing vehicles. She loves her bay window time nearly as much as she likes to sit on Jessica's head while Jessie walks around the house. Pina's beautiful colors are starting to show nicely.

Julie, Evie and "Archimedes" from Missouri:
Archimedes is doing great. He is being spoiled rotten and has developed an addiction to tater tots which we are trying to convince him he can only have sometimes. My daughter loves him. He likes to lay down on her shoulder and watch cartoons with her in the mornings. He's really good. He's not nippy at all and very quiet, unless he thinks you are taking too long to let him out in the morning when he throws himself against the door and yells. Guess he doesn't want to miss curious george and cuddle with Evie time. We are thrilled with him.
Harry, Ernie and Sherryl from Oklahoma: Harry has gone to a wonderful home in Tulsa, Oklahoma: "Here are some pictures of Harry. We are so glad he has come to be with us. He is settling in well. Thanks, Ernie & Sherryl"
